Subject: Baltimore Arena show, August 20th Date: Sat, 21 Aug 1999 12:56:59 -0400 From: "Lisa Anderson" To: The Baltimore Arena show on August 20th was a monster. It was even better than I expected, and the sound system was incredibly good. And the lighting - very impressive but also understated; not too overwhelming. Look out for the geat lighting during "Shine..." The set was incredible, with CN as the encore; and no-one left during the Waters solo album tunes. In fact, they were delivered with such passion by himself and the back-up singers that it was spellbinding. We had a really good crowd, and I think everyone was really pleased with the show. My only comment on the set-list would be to move "Dogs" to the second half of the show so we would have anticipate it more; it is done brilliantly with the guitar parts note-perfect and the space-break is great. The only drawback is the $28.00 tour T-shirt; I'd like to ask Roger how that price is justified... Also, just to annoy the Roger purists; note that it takes two guitarists to nail David's CN solo...
