Subject: Roger Waters in Toronto Date: Mon, 2 Aug 1999 12:59:27 -0400 From: "Zach Lepp" To: Hey there Here's the setlist for last nights (08/01/99) show and my comments if you would like to post them. I have never been moved to tears at a concert before. What an incredible night! The crowd was absolutely ecstatic! I've never seen Molson Amphitheatre at capacity before! While Roger & co. were leaving after Eclipse, some guy got up on stage and managed to shake Roger's hand before security dragged him away. Perfect Sense (both parts) was amazing. Roger got the entire place on their feet for the "global anthem". It's A Miracle was great, and the choir and high guitar shrill section between it and Amused To Death made me cry (I swear!). Couple of moments to mention: During Dogs, Graham and Jon performed the middle while the rest of the group started playing cards (again). During Comfortably Numb, Roger goofed the lyrics in the first verse. He said the "Relax, I need some information first" section where the "C'mon, now, I hear your feeling down" section is. He then looked down as if to say "Oh crap" and then said "Well, we'll sing it here any way!!", then sang the "Relax" part where it belonged! Also during Comfortably Numb, the lighting guy put the spotlight on Snowy before Doyle had finished playing his part of the solo, prompting Snowy to very openly point to Doyle as if to say "Over there, stupid!" All in all, it was incredible, and I'm going to see Roger again in two weeks! Zach Lepp Check out the Seldom Few website! www.bestnet.org/~zl
